Cupping Care: How to take care of yourself after a cupping session. ⁠

💮 Stay hydrated with ROOM TEMPERATURE (always!) water before your session and for 24-48 hours after. This helps your body flush out the toxins and stagnant blood that has been drawn up to the surface from your cupping treatment. ⁠


💮 Avoid vigorous exercise immediately after cupping. Walking, stretching, or gentle yoga are great alternatives and can improve effects of cupping. ⁠


💮 Avoid drafts, being in front of a fan, or windy places, especially to the area that has been cupped. Cupping opens the pores and channels, making the body vulnerable to outside pathogens like wind and cold. In Chinese Medicine, we believe that exposure to these environmental factors can subject you to catching a cold or getting sick. Stay covered and warm! ⁠
